Muley Crazy!!!

My dad and I finished up our mule deer hunt almost before it began. We were both done the first day before lunch. We walked a few miles, then over a big hill and the buck I killed was standing on the other side of the ridge with another one feeding about 345 yards out. We had to wait a few minutes for him to turn broadside. When he did, I put a bullet right behind the shoulder.

After we got done taking pictures of mine, we started our walk back to the truck. When we were about halfway to the truck, we jumped four more bucks. One of them was really nice! They ran down a long canyon about a 1,000 yards out. We just watched them for a while and let them settle down. When they got out of sight we put a stalk on them. We ended up getting to within 250 yards of them. They saw us so my dad had to shoot right then. All he could see of the big buck was his head and neck. He put a 180 grain 300 Win mag in his neck and he was dead before he hit the ground.
